WHAT TO EXPECT

In this position you will be reporting directly to the Finance Project Manager as part of the Group Accounting and Reporting Team. This team manages the delivery of the Group's global external audit alongside the delivery of technical projects, as well as driving forward change and efficiencies to support business and reporting strategies. This role provides the opportunity for someone that has a passion for transformation to use their own experience to deliver improvements within a technically specialist team.

You will be the key contact for external audit teams and internal finance colleagues to resolve audit queries and identify solutions for challenges that arise during the audit process as well as delivering, monitoring and reporting on the progress of the external audit. In addition to this you will be proactively designing, developing and supporting the implementation of continuous improvement solutions to enhance delivery of the external audit, liaising closely with the audit team to ensure requirements are met.

In this role you will be working closely with our internal Digital team to understand the latest technology offerings and identify opportunities to benefit external audit delivery and Group Reporting processes. You will also co-ordinate with functional areas of the business on projects involving new ventures and one-off transactions to identify and develop solutions for group reporting and consolidation, as well as investigating further opportunities for transition of work to the Group Accounting offshore team in India, proactively working with teams to build and transition a portfolio of work.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED
Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Essential:
ACCA/ACA qualified or equivalent.
Experience of the external audit of global Groups; with in-depth knowledge of latest auditing techniques and methodology.
Experience of successfully transforming audit processes to take advantage of technologies and improve efficiency.
Strong technical accounting and financial reporting knowledge.
An analytical mindset – able to understand requirements and to identify, evaluate, and propose potential solutions.
The ability to evaluate impacts and risks.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications; particularly Microsoft Excel.

Desirable:
Experience of financial process improvement, process mapping, developing RACI charts and KPIs.
Familiarity with Microsoft Power BI, Tableau or equivalent tools
