Our client, a unique professional services firm, are looking for a Senior Sales & Purchase Ledger Assistant to oversee the running of the department on a daily basis, maintaining the following:
* Sales ledger (production and invoices and cash collection)
* Purchase ledger (supplier invoices, staff expenses and payments)
* Credit control
* Cash books and banking systems
* Assist with VAT matters and returns and other reporting
Whilst initially you will not have any direct reports it is envisaged that you grow into the role and become more familiar with the business you will take on this responsibility
Job Responsibilities
* Ensure that sales invoices are raised promptly and accurately in accordance agreed accounting procedures on all entity ledgers
* Ensure debtor days are maintained within the bench-marked level
* Ensure that amounts due to suppliers are recorded promptly and accurately on the purchase ledger:
* Identify and participate in the development and implementation of new team procedures
Hours are Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm. After an office-based training period there will be the opportunity to spend part of your time working from home.
