Job Description
Solutions Driven are supporting our valued client, Cala, in sourcing a Payroll Project Lead to guide them through their new HCM program implementation.

Key Responsibilities / Deliverables:

* Work with the project team and supplier to ensure payroll deliverables for the project are achieved, e.g. build specifications are aligned with business requirements and then delivered to specification.

* Work with the existing payroll team to gain knowledge and understanding of the payroll requirements.

* Work alongside the finance team to ensure payroll processes align with financial reporting and audit requirements.

* Work alongside the reward & benefits team to ensure payroll processes are implemented in line with existing and potential future reward and benefits.

* Lead on the planning, preparation and cleansing of existing payroll data prior to migration between solutions.

* Provide expert payroll knowledge on all aspects of the payroll lifecycle and any specialist areas, such as salary sacrifice schemes, pensions, RTI reporting, etc., to ensure all aspects of Payroll are covered in the new solution.

* Lead on the payroll testing and dual run process to ensure all elements are fully tested prior to launch.

* Ensure existing payroll team are fully consulted during implementation, and fully trained on the system prior to launch.

* Provide insights into more efficient ways of working and utilising the full capabilities of a new Payroll solution.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Essential:

* Educated to degree level or equivalent experience

* Experience of implementing/strong working knowledge of payroll (& HCM) solutions, particularly Tier 1, e.g. Workday, Oracle.

* In depth knowledge of payroll processes, including the full payroll lifecycle, e.g. new starts, leavers, movers, and specialist configuration areas such as salary sacrifice schemes, pensions, RTI reporting, etc.,

* Experience of working with payroll data reconciliation and analysis of payroll reports.

* Ability to analyse information and evaluate results to find the best solution and solve problems

* Ability to drive change through continuous improvement

* Strong customer focused approach and stake holder management skills

* Excellent communication skills working with people at all levels of the business

Desirable:

* Fully qualified payroll professional, e.g. Diploma in Payroll

* Construction industry knowledge and experience
