Job Description
Management Accountant | Shrewsbury | Full Time | £30,000 + company-defined pension scheme (4/6% minimum), Life Assurance 3 x salary, and 25 days’ holiday | Permanent

The organisation

Seymour John are working with a profitable business that distributes products and offers servicing, maintenance, installation and repairs services.

The opportunity

You will report to the finance manager, and work closely with the financial controller, and wider finance team. You will be involved with a wide range of financial matters, including supporting with the month-end close, company payroll, banking and VAT returns.

You will be:

* Supporting the Finance Manager across a range of financial matters including month-end close.

* Collating payroll information and preparing templates for the UK and Irish payroll bureau in a timely manner.

* Preparing cash book and bank reconciliations across several currencies as well as petty cash.

* Preparing VAT returns.

* Supporting the Finance Manager with company external and internal audits.

* Handling general accounting matters for the UK and Irish company.

* Working closely and with the whole finance team and business to identify new opportunities, reduce waste and support the business’s continuous improvement journey.

The individual

We are looking for someone who is AAT-qualified or part-qualified (stopped -studiers considered too). You will demonstrate good analytical and technical skills as well as an intermediate proficiency with MS Excel.
