Job Description
Outstanding Finance Manager opportunity based within the Shared Service Centre/Head office of a pioneering £450m+ FTSE 250 Group of businesses, with worldwide operations spanning numerous exciting and innovative sectors. Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, your remit will include:
Managing/developing a team of 10 spanning Management Accounting, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable//Credit Control
Ownership of the management reporting and month end processes
Management Information reporting – KPIs and variance to budget and latest forecasts
Consolidating and uploading financial results to group with an accompanying insightful commentary
Business Partnering with PLC departmental heads – helping them to monitor performance against budget and to control costs
Reviewing Balance Sheet account reconciliations
Bi-weekly Cash flow budgeting and forecasting
Looking at opportunities to streamline and modernising existing processes
Delivering a robust internal control environment, including process development, documentation and ownership
Lead on the preparation of Budgets and Forecasts
Work closely with Treasury and Tax functions
Liaising with Group External and Internal Auditors as required
Preparing Statutory Annual Accounts for holding companies
Managing the preparation of VAT returns
Supporting the Group with Systems development Applicants must be fully qualified CIMA, ACCA or ACCA Financial Controllers, ideally with previous experience working in a Shared Service/Head Office Function of a large Group or FTSE. You will be familiar with working for a fast paced and diverse business and will have a proven track record of delivering effective financial control and business partnering. You will be familiar with ensuring the timely delivery of accurate financial information and establishing robust financial controls to ensure compliance with accounting, tax and other relevant regulations. You will have a strong business/commercial acumen and the gravitas & personality required to forge strong business partner relationships at all levels across the business. Experience of Sage and Cognos would be advantageous but is not essential. A salary of £60-70k (possibly some flexibility) is complimented with benefits including £6k car allowance, 6% Pension, 25 days holiday, Healthcare, Hybrid working (2 days office: 2 days home) and onsite parking.
