Job Description
Corporate Financial Planner (Desk-based) – Employee Benefits team

Location -Chelmsford -Hybrid

Salary – £30,000-£40,000 per annum

Permanent – Full time – 37.5 hours a week

A fabulous opportunity for a desk-based financial planner who has achieved level 4 in financial planning or is working towards, to develop and grow their own core client book within a very people-centric chartered financial planning firm.

The ideal candidate will be desk-based (virtual client meetings), with a strong knowledge of employee benefits and auto enrolment for workplace pensions, who'll have the opportunity to manage, present and grow a portfolio of core clients. Personal development and training programme will be offered.

Tasks the role includes:

Relationship Management: Excellent customer service, developing & maintaining new and existing customers within your core portfolio
Conduct virtual and telephone meetings with clients, to identify client's needs
Spot opportunities for revenue growth within current client portfolio. Up selling and cross selling within EB eg: Pensions, HRW, selling additional services eg: Member charging, guidance days, employee education seminars and pension scheme governance.
Actively manage all leads passed to you with a view to successfully secure them as EB Clients
Formulate and agree a business plan each year
Generate appropriate monthly reporting, information and statistics in the required format
Ensure that sales targets are met or exceeded each month, quarter and year .Identify and maximise new sales opportunities and take the appropriate steps to secure the business
Identify appropriate industry events to represent the business and seek new business opportunities
Liaise with our key partners to produce campaigns via mail shots, e-shots and the website to generate new business opportunities
Develop and deliver presentations to introducers and employees when required, outlining our proposition and service
Attend and present planned focussed EB events during the year in conjunction with the Senior Wealth Manager and other EB team members aimed at attracting new EB clients to the business.
Maintain accurate management information/data relating to the different client contact strategies (including return on investment for planned events) and provide reports as and when required
Generate monthly reporting, information and statistics as required.
Adhere to compliance standards in all processes, including Treating Customers Fairly
Ensure company procedures are followed and guidance given is delivered in a compliant manner. Ensure that all calls made are in line with FCA regulations.

What will you bring to the role?:

Essential:

Have a strong technical knowledge and experience of employee benefits: work-place pension funds, auto enrolment (NEST and main providers), Health, Risk & well-being products & services.
Have excellent commercial awareness and industry knowledge
Offer a high level of customer service and experience of building relationships at corporate events
Have excellent organisation and time management skills, as well as able to work as part of a wider team.
Have the ability to agree financial objectives, achieve and exceed them
Be proficient in Microsoft Office : Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerpointDesirable

Diploma qualified or equivalent
