Job Description
Our highly successful client based in Newport is looking to appoint an Tax Senior to join its growing Tax Team. Made up of 10 members including Partner, 2 Directors, Managers and a variety of ACCA/ACA and trainees, the Tax Senior will be responsible for managing a portfolio of personal and corporate tax cases.

The Role:

Deliver an effective and efficient personal and corporate tax compliance function for the practice including owner managed business and groups.

Build on the firm's relationship with its clients.

Deal with communication and telephone matters with HMRC.

Develop and maintain the highest standards of personal and corporate tax compliance.

Identify and communicate opportunities for tax planning.

Control and manage systems for personal and corporate tax compliance and ensure effective

Manage a portfolio of personal and corporate tax cases in Newport.

Responsibility for ensuring that all filing and reporting deadlines are met on a timely basis.

Deal on a timely basis with all communications in whatever format from clients and HMRC.

Deal with client queries on a timely basis.

Assist with some of the more complex corporate tax cases.
Essential skills and Qualifications:

Up-to-date CPD records

Significant experience with an accountancy organisation

Preparation of personal and business tax computations and returns

Proven record of client portfolio management

Experience of dealing with HMRC to resolve disputes and potential disputes quickly and efficiently

Significant knowledge of Corporation Tax

Knowledge of Income tax

Knowledge of Capital Gains Tax

Communication i.e. ability to write reports, letters, emails etc

Highly developed organisational skills
37.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday) 8.30AM to 5.00PM (with flexibility of hours to meet specific work demands).
