Job Description
Full time, permanent – hybrid working available after initial probation period.

This is a very hands on role where you will be supporting the Financial Controller and have a great deal of exposure within the business. This role is office based 9-5 (or 8.30 – 4.30) Monday to Friday.
The successful candidate will ideally come from a regulatory environment (Insurance, Financial Services etc) but this is not essential and duties will be varied and include:
• Performing regular maintenance of the bookkeeping software and deal with bank reconciliations and resolving any accounting queries that arise.
• Handling and processing of purchase orders, expense claims and invoices.
• Setting up payments to suppliers.
• Responsibility for documenting all processes in the Finance Handbook and keeping this document updated and accurate.
• Preparing monthly management accounts and accompanying board reports, quarterly reports and supporting schedules.
• Preparing weekly P&L Reviews with variance analysis and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Investigating, analysing and communicating key drivers for variances to budget, working with budget holders where appropriate
• Providing ad hoc reporting, analysis and insight to supplement regular monthly management reporting
• Assisting with the preparation and coordinating of the annual budgeting process.
• Supporting the Financial Controller in all areas of Accounts production.
• Regularly monitoring the cashflow and maintaining a rolling cashflow forecast on a weekly basis
• Assisting with the accurate and timely submission of regulatory returns.
• Computing and setting up quarterly Corporation Tax payments
• Ensuring that employees’ P11D forms are completed and submitted in a timely manner.
