Job Description
Based in Market Harborough, Deichmann UK, a subsidiary of Deichmann SE is looking to recruit an enthusiastic & motivated individual to join our Finance & Payroll team as an Accounts Assistant on a permanent basis, £18,250 per annum.

Ideal candidate:Reporting to the Finance Manager, the successful applicant will support and assist in all aspects of work undertaken within the Finance & Payroll Department, including, accounts, imports, payroll, and general administration.

Key activities:

* Process of incoming mail both electronically and otherwise

* Check, manage and process business expenditure

* Verity and record key business expenses for analysis

* Responsible for monitoring relevant ledger accounts and deal with any queries

* Complete tasks to assist in the production of monthly management accounts

* General administration associated with the Finance function

* Liaising with suppliers to resolve outstanding issues

* Assist in other departmental activity in order to deliver on deadlines and targets

Personal characteristics:

* Educated to GCSE A level or equivalent and/or have worked at this level

* Possess effective organisational skills

* Able to work to deadlines whilst maintaining attention to detail

* Have good IT skills, including Microsoft Office (Excel & Powerpoint)

* Able to work effectively on own initiative or as part of a team

* An effective communicator both verbal and written

* Flexible approach to work and able to adapt to meet changing work priorities

* Motivated and enthusiastic

* Have relevant previous experience or a keen interest in accounting/business administration
