Job Description
A great opportunity has arisen for an Accounts Assistant to join a fast paced, growing company based in Farnborough on a contract basis. You must be available to start immediately for this role, be able to work well on your own initiative as well as part of a small team and possess a confident yet personable attitude. Hybrid working pattern available along with a competitive salary on offer.

Responsibilities:

Checking for incoming funds and allocating it to the appropriate customer account, with assistance from the sales team
Download and prepare daily finances report
Daily setting up payments for operators, ensuring appropriate approvals are in place
Ensuring invoices are uploaded to Concur for the authorisation process.
Liaise with operators to discuss discrepancies and confirm bank details
Monthly review of VAT transaction and quarterly VAT return upload
Maintaining the Fixed Asset register and calculating depreciation monthly
Monthly Intercompany reconciliation
Posting payroll journal and maintaining payroll reconciliations
Preparing accruals and prepayments at month end; maintaining these balance sheet reconciliations and posting appropriate journals into Oracle.
Handling general Accounts inbox queries
Preparation of European VAT reclaim
Preparation of year end audit documents
Main responsibility for Partner and Ambassador commissions, sending statements and accruing for commissions due that have not been invoiced.
Cover for other Accounts Assistant
Audit of Fixed Assets
Assisting Finance Manager, where requested
