The Client
Our Client is a highly credible Financial Advisory, Payments Services firm and Investment Platform based in the City Of London.
The Role
THIS ROLE IS A 12 MONTH FTC POSITION
The Sanctions Screening Analyst will be part of the Financial Crime Prevention Team and will support with client name screening and will conduct transaction screening.
The Sanctions Screening Analyst will ensure that customers, related parties, beneficial owners, and transactions are screened for sanctions, PEP exposure and adverse media.
The Sanctions Screening Analyst will ensure that risk is assessed and documented and that higher risk situations are escalated to senior management, ensuring that cases, e-mails, and requests are processed promptly and appropriately.
Ensure records are maintained, systems of record are up to date, and that notes, and descriptions of actions taken are clear and comprehensive and accurately support the audit trail of actions and decisions taken.
The Sanctions Screening Analyst will ensure that trading activities are reviewed in a timely manner and sanctions alerts are closed effectively
The Candidate
+ 1 years’ experience in Sanctions Screening and in conducting Transaction Screening in a Financial Services environment , preferably within a payments firm.
Knowledge of international sanctions regimes, PEPs and embargoes is essential.
A Professional Sanctions, Compliance or AML qualification is desirable
Previous experience of working within a department with exposure to Money Laundering, Sanctions, and high-risk markets is desirable
Analytical with good judgement
