Group Systems Accountant
£40,000 – £50,000 + Benefits Package

Our client, a leading, globally based giant within their chosen sector, has a key opening within their group finance team for a technically strong finance systems and consolidations accountant. Ideally we are looking for either a newly or part qualified professional about to start the latter stages of their qualification.

The principal purpose of the role is to implement, manage, enhance and maintain the Group's Consolidation and Management Information Systems which in turn will impact the timely production of high-quality group consolidated monthly management accounts.

Key responsibilities will include:

*System Administrator of SAP-BPC Consolidation System.
*Promoting best practice use of systems, providing regular support, maintenance/updates.
*Delivery of continuous improvement across the entire management reporting process and systems, including working closely with external consultants where applicable.
*Assist with the main group close process and in the production of the monthly group consolidated management accounts, including setting exchange rates, reviewing, and analysing inter company mismatching reports, preparing balance sheet reconciliations and roll forward of equity, reviewing elimination of investments and share capital, managing FX differences, reviewing Group cashflows, posting of ad-hoc journals, acquisition, and disposal accounting adjustments.
*Assist with quarterly forecast group consolidated management accounts, annual budget, and various strategic forecasts.
*Review of output reports from dashboards and liaise with Group Systems Accountant to fix any issues.
*Review the monthly management report to Senior executives.
*Develop user friendly financial models to support the forecasting, budgeting and multi-year strategy processes.
*Key contributor of the new financial consolidation system testing and implementation, including enhancement and streamlining the monthly reporting process.
*Supporting the review of financial information in the Annual Report and the Half-Yearly results announcements and investor presentations.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record working with consolidation systems and within an IFRS focused accounting environment. They will be able to give multiple examples of when they have added value across a complex international setup. They will be technically strong and have the ability to engage and communicate effectively with every level of an organisation and across a diverse selection of stakeholders.
