Job Description
Group Accounts Assistant

Up to £27,000 Plus Generous Profit Share Scheme, Knaresborough, 37.5 hours, Flexible & Hybrid Working Available, 24 Days Holiday Plus Bank Holidays -Increasing with Service, Perkbox, Social Events.

Due to continued success and business demands we are looking for an experienced Group Accounts Assistant to join this successful business based in Knaresborough. You will work closely with this small friendly finance team, who are able to support and develop you as a key member of the senior finance team.

The main purpose of this Group Accounts Assistant position is to assist and support the Financial Controller with day to day finance processes for the Group . You will be responsible for the reconciliation of Group bank accounts, manage payment processes, monitor credit control and assist with management accounts, working closely with group auditors.

This Group Accounts Assistant role would suit someone who has previous experience in a similar role or has worked as Finance Assistant, Finance Administrator, Accounts Administrator, or Assistant Management Accountant. If you have previously worked in the Automotive industry or in a Financially regulated industry that would also be an advantage.

Responsibilities include:

Day to day finance functions
Processing purchase invoices
Processing supplier payments
Reconciliation of Group bank accounts, commission receipts
Assisting with the production of management accounts
Liaising closely with Group Auditors
Providing accurate reporting
Credit control
Processing expense claims
Maintaining up to date training in relation to regulatory bodies

Requirements:

AAT or equivalent qualifications
Previous experience of purchase ledger
Experience using Sage accounting software
Previous experience of inter company transactions
An understanding and experience of working in a regulated industry
Good work ethic
Professional and reliable
Good time management and attention to detail
