Job Description
An independent music merchandising company are currently seeking a Financial Controller to join the team based in the Camden based office. The Financial Manager will predominantly be tasked with the preparation of the monthly and yearly accounts whilst also handling any European VAT returns and training an Accounts Assistant and managing their workload. The Ideal Finance Manager will have proven experience of dealing with EU VAT regulations and will be proficient on Sage 50 whilst preferably also being qualified.

Financial Controller Position Overview

Preparing financial statements for clients including statutory accounts, management accounts and tour accounts

Preparing monthly and quarterly retail and ecommerce royalty statements

Preparing UK vat returns and EU vat returns, both monthly and quarterly

Preparing budgets for FEU (Foreign Entertainers Tax) purposes and payment thereof to UK Revenue where applicable

Overseeing and training an Accounts Assistant

Financial Controller Position Requirements

Ideally ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified

Have experience within a UK or EU practice

Previous experience handling EU VAT rules and regulations

Demonstrate experience managing a portfolio of clients as well as the workload of an accounts assistant

Experience on Sage 50

Financial Controller Position Remuneration

£50,000 – £65,000 per annum

20 days holiday allowance + bank holidays
