Job Description
Robert Walters is pleased to be partnering with a globally recognised organisation based in Guildford, who have an exciting opportunity for a newly qualified Chartered Accountant to join as a Financial Assurance Accountant.

This Finance Assurance Accountant will support the Finance Governance Manager to ensure the business has a robust financial control environment, focusing on relevant assurance activities. As this is within a rapidly growing and evolving team, there will be plenty of progression opportunities available within the Assurance team or wider business.

Key responsibilities:

Supporting all Financial Assurance activities and associated maintenance.
Preparing a monthly Control and Compliance Scorecard, distributing this to the Finance Leadership Team and identifying and implementing changes to ensure there is continued improvement and value add.
Liaising with Internal Audit, taking the lead in all internal audit activities in relation to finance.
Monitoring and reporting the status of audit actions completion, with responsibility for ensuring actions are completed on time, relying on influencing skills with relevant stakeholders.
Supporting the Finance Governance Manager on other assurance and governance activities.

Experience and qualifications:

ACA / CA / ACCA qualification
Internal or external audit experience
Prior control or assurance experience, gained within a complex organisation
Excellent stakeholder management and relationship building skills

Please note that due to the nature of this industry, the successful candidate will be required to undergo BPSS clearance.
