Leicester City
£25,000 – £28,000p.a.

Permanent, hybrid working

The Company:
ER Recruitment are delighted to be working with our client, a nationally recognised construction company with offices in Leicester City.
They are now looking for a Finance & Billing Assistant who will have a fantastic eye for detail and be a great team player.

Role & Responsibilities of the Finance & Billing Assistant:

* Ensure accurate, efficient billing processes are operated

* Compliance with HMRC and internal policies

* Adherence to the finance SLA’s (around accuracy and turnaround times)

* Efficient resolution of queries from clients and the wider firm

* Team work to provide cover for holidays and sickness where appropriate

* Continuous improvement of the billing process

* Collect all information needed to calculate bills receivable (order amounts, discount rates etc.)

* Check the data input in the accounting system to ensure accuracy of final bill

* Issue invoices and bills and sent them to clients through various channels (mail, e-mail, information exchange systems.)

* Issue client account statements periodically or whenever necessary

* Receive payments through various methods (cash, online payments etc.) and check for credibility

* Execute the new client and new job onboarding process (credit checks, new job number and file opening)

* Management of time recording across the firm including, chasing timesheets, moving time where appropriate and reporting on staff utilisation

* Assist in monitoring missing information from new jobs, new client set up

About You as the Finance & Billing Assistant:

* Experience working in a busy finance / billing department

* Proven experience using Microsoft Excel and Word

* Experience using Access Dimensions ideal

* Solid communication skills, both written and verbal

* Superior attention to detail

* Organisational skills; planning skills

* Any background with process improvement would be advantageous
