They are looking to recruit a manager to effectively manage all aspects of a portfolio of business clients including the accounting and tax affairs of the related parties
Ideally you will live locally, be bright and energetic. You will have 3 -4 years post qualification audit experience gained in a Practice environment.
Audit Manager- About the Role
* In this role you will work closely with the Audit Partners which great autonomy, you will of course be responsible for overseeing the work of junior members of staff.
* To cost effectively manage all aspects of a portfolio of business clients including the accounting and tax affairs of the related parties within the agreed budgets and timescales
* Effective communication with clients to ensure they are fully appraised of their affairs at all times and are made aware of their tax liabilities in a timely manner
* Meeting statutory deadlines
* Meeting billing targets
* Ensure that client workflow is managed in accordance with the Firm’s procedures
* Planning and undertaking the accounts preparation work i.e., auditing, corporation tax returns, annual returns
* Face to face meetings and other verbal and written communications with clients
* Assist with recruitment of staff and employee development and training
* Assist trainees in satisfying their training and reporting/recording obligations
The successful Qualified Audit Manager will have:
* ACA, ACCA or CA qualification
* 3-4 years PQE experience
* Prior experience of managing a portfolio of circa £150K upwards of client fees as a Manager or Assistant Manager
* Knowledge of accepted auditing and accounting practices and principles
* Knowledge of applicable laws, codes and regulations
* Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) is essential
* Knowledge of CaseWare or similar accounting package & commercial bookkeeping packages like Xero, Sage and QuickBooks
* Professional verbal and written communication skills as well as an excellent telephone manner
* Report writing skills
