Job Description
Our Global client are urgently seeking a Divisional Tax Manager to join their team on a permanent basis, based remotely in the UK.

The Tax Manager role oversees tax reporting and compliance for the Division, spanning 23 sites, 9 countries and 3 regions.

Key responsibilities of a Tax Manager:

* Responsible for the preparation of monthly and quarterly group reporting tax submissions, collaborating with site, regional and divisional finance teams

* Preparation and filing of quarterly VAT and Tax returns for all registered UK Companies and VAT Groups

* Preparation and filing of annual Corporation Tax returns for all UK Companies, including assessment of R&D claims and drafting of tax notes for UK Company financial statements

* Responsible for all HMRC online portals and managing all HMRC correspondence and enquiries

* Development and maintenance of publicly available UK Tax Strategy

* Preparation and filing of quarterly CT61 returns

* Oversight of tax filings and tax compliance in all non-UK jurisdictions, liaising with site and regional finance teams and external advisors

* Maintenance of proper transfer pricing documentation in accordance with Group policy, and management of Country by Country Reporting (CBCR) notifications in all jurisdictions

* Providing ad-hoc advice to the business across all taxes, working with external advisors as required

* Monitoring global tax developments to identify risks and opportunities, and proactively propose actions

* Collaborate with wider Group and Divisional management teams on tax projects, with an initial focus on Group integration projects

The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant with knowledge of broad tax principles at a very strong level for the UK and some knowledge of other global locations. Broad tax experience in a range of areas and specifically strong tax experience in the following areas such as preparing relevant tax returns and dealing with HMRC, including risk assessment, correspondence, enquiries and formal filing. Possessing a high level of attention to detail partnered with analytical and critical thinking skills
