Job Description
Systems Accountant

£36,364 per annum

Permanent

Sellick Partnership are currently assisting in the recruitment of a Systems Accountant to join a large, well known, not for profit housing association. This is a permanent contract.

The overall purpose of the Systems Accountant will be to provide day to support the Senior Finance Manager (Systems and Transactions) in the delivery and development of effective finance systems for the Group.

Responsibilities of the Systems Accountant will include:

Responsible for Open Accounts and related systems processes and administration, ensuring compliance with standing orders and financial regulations
Support the accurate and timely import of interfaces that fall within the responsibility of the finance team
Oversee system testing and the implementation of upgrades and new finance software, including assessment of functionality of systems and recommendation for system specification
Support the writing of reports to deliver management information, utilising various reporting facilities, including EDR, Open Reporting and Power BI Assist in the development of finance processes and reporting
Analysis of financial data including benchmarking, statistical returns and performance reporting
Support both internal and external audit processes through the production of reports, provision of information and liaison with Auditors

The ideal candidate will:

Have knowledge of Accounting Regulation and principles
Have proven ability to collate, evaluate, analyse, review, report and solve complex financial matters such as compliance with regulatory and legislative requirements
Have proven skill in the identification of requirements, recording and analysis of data and information, and identification of solutions
Have the ability to develop and maintain appropriate systems, maximise the use of technology and to effectively use compliance software, other IT applications and media to support the service as appropriate
Have the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues across Finance and the wider business
