Job Description
Financial Analyst

Salary: up to £35K dependant on experience plus excellent benefits

Location: Aylesbury with hybrid working arrangements

This is a great opportunity for an aspiring Finance professional to join a £200m division of a major company as Financial Analyst.

As Financial Analyst, you will report to the Financial Reporting Manager and support with the management of the balance sheet and cash flow, finance policy and procedures, finance systems development, Capital Expenditure and Project Reporting and the reporting of KPI's across the business.

Key responsibilities will include:

ReportingAssist in the production of all Balance Sheet and Cashflow reporting
Assist with Year-end reporting including statutory accounts and tax packs

Capital and Project AccountingLead on capital expenditure (Capex) processes including, producing periodic expenditure capital and project reports,

First port of contact for project managers, attending monthly project meetings providing advice, guidance and challenge where required.

Working with finance colleagues on capex spend as necessary

Providing reliable and accurate capex expenditure spend to date and forecasts for cash flow reporting

Reconciliation of fixed asset accounts

Key performance IndicatorsSupport the Financial Reporting Manager, with the management of KPI's across the business,

Leading on the annual process for the setting of KPI targets to be agreed by Senior managers.

Acting as the first port of contact for the collection of KPI's data and validation of information submitted though liaising with colleagues across the business

What is our client looking for from an ideal candidate?

To be successful in this role candidates must have the following skills and attributes:

Part-qualified Accountant (e.g., CIMA / ACCA / AAT) or equivalent or looking to study a relevant qualification
2 years' experience working in a financial/ accounting position
Demonstrate good Excel skills – V'look-ups, pivot tables & formulas
Great communication skills
Flexible and able to prioritise to meet deadlinesThis is a great career development and is a HYBRID role working about 50% of the time in the office
