Job Description
Accounts Payable Analyst
Sheffield (Hybrid – 2 days home/3 days office)

Please note: During the training period, you will be required to attend the office 5 days a week.

We are currently seeking an Enthusiastic Accounts Payable Analyst to join our high performing team. You will handle the AP process for our largest client account, ensuring incoming invoices match purchase orders and arrange payments in line with agreed terms. You will be extremely organised, with excellent attention to detail and will be confident in working within a fast-paced environment.

Key Accountabilities…

* Ensure the assigned ledger is operated accurately and efficiently, and vendors are paid accurately and on time.

* Ensure smooth operation of payment runs, conduct adequate checks to ensure that payments are made to the correct vendors.

* Support month end preparations by reconciling accounts and managing and correcting errors.

* Set up new vendors, agree new payment terms, and enter payment terms into system using set criteria.

* Be proactive in maintaining the ‘goods received but not invoiced’ (GRNI) account and aging

* Report, raise late payments, chase vendors for invoices/late credits, and ensure payments are processed on time.

Who you are…

* An experienced AP professional or holds a relevant degree and drive to succeed.

* Demonstrated experience of working with control account reconciliation.

* Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to resolve complex issues.

* Thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes ownership of their workload.

* Fully conversant with Microsoft Office suite, in particular Excel.

* Customer focussed, with clear communication both written and verbal.
