Job Description
Are you a passionate Software Architect with knowledge of AWS? Are you looking to work with an exciting VC-Backed FinTech going through a major growth phase? I am currently working with an organisation in the FinTech space looking for a Senior Software Architect to improve and refine the technical design process and design high quality solutions.
Job Responsibilities of the Senior Software Architect
* Produce high quality technical designs for new product features that are scalable and secure
* Undertake functional changes and improvements to existing features to improve the overall quality of the product
* Undertake research and create well tested demos and proof of concepts
* Collaborate with and support development teams and the wider business to collaborate on design and good engineering practices
* Actively seek to understand and promote the business’ overall vision and goals especially around software architecture
* Present new ideas and solutions to senior leadership
* Directly influence the definition and progression of the company’s software architecture vision and best practices
Desirable Skills and Experience of the Senior Software Architect
* Proven experience working in a similar software architecture position
* Experience with web/cloud application development
* Strong development and programming skills ideally with JavaScript or TypeScript
* Knowledge of modern software patterns and principles such as Cloud, Containers, REST, Serverless, SOA, Micro Services etc
* Experience designing and implementing scalable solutions in the cloud (preferably AWS)
* Knowledge of APIGateway, ECS/Lambda, S3, SNS, SQS or RDS/Aurora
* Comfortable across the entire application stack
* Knowledge of Node., NoSQL & SQL Databases
* Excellent communication both written and verbal
