Regional Commercial Director,
As a Regional Commercial Director for Jewson you can expect a rewarding, varied and exciting role where you will be joining one of the largest chains of British general builder's merchants, selling to building contractors across the UK. Jewson is one of more than 30 exciting Saint-Gobain brands in the UK and The chain comprises around 600 branches located all across Great Britain. They are a leading supplier of building materials & equipment, suppliers, tools and timber
The Regional Commercial Director will lead commercial support for Business Unit Director's and Sales Managers; Lead regional adaption plans, including pricing, rebate and category strategies, Regional supplier negotiations, including regional implementation of national category plans and local promotional activity. The Regional Commercial Director will be a primary regional link with the Category teams; providing regional adaptation of stock optimization and exit strategies from Category plans
Here's a short breakdown of the key focus areas in this role
Overseeing of Business Unit/Regional price-setting in conjunction with Central Pricing and Category in order to achieve consistent and credible pricing for the customer
Develop a collaborative approach to ranging, purchasing and trading visibility and ensure a collective agreement is reached before implementation of any national or local initiatives at an operational level, in order to maximize collective efforts and results.
Act as a leading member of the Regional commercial team in determining the commercial landscape locally whilst also retaining awareness of the national picture
Working closely with key stakeholders (E.g. Business Development, Customers) to identify, share information and develop plans around market opportunities and challenges

We require a Regional Commercial Director with an extensive knowledge of customer / financial performance, risk management and understanding of financial statements ideally with an industry background. An individual, with strong communication skills who can operate at a senior level, who can influence stakeholders across Jewson and the wider Saint Gobain business.
