Job Description
Position: Protection Case Handler.

Based Location: Southampton.

Salary: £22,000 per annum + bonus based on, on risk cases.

Contract Type: Full Time, Perm, Monday to Friday.

Main Purpose:

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will manage a pipeline of clients, progressing their protection insurance applications from submission to on risk. Your day will consist of working closely with Providers, GP surgeries and the Protection Advisers to ensure the applications are dealt with in an effective and timely manner.

Key accountabilities:

• Ensuring contact with client is conducted in a professional and compliant manner

• Achieving On Risk performance targets

• Ensuring all relevant documentation and notes are saved to the relevant system(s)

• Updating the in-house system ensuring all notes are clear and accurate

• Ensuring accuracy of suitability reports

• Consistently demonstrate good Conduct Risk behaviours by placing the customer’s best interest at the heart of everything you do and recommend improvements where possible. Contribute through actions and behaviour to ensure the culture of the whole company reflects this

Key Knowledge, Skills, Experience required:

• Experience of working within an administrative role

• Ability to pick up and retain knowledge of protection insurance criteria

• Good communication skills

• Ability to prioritise workload and work to targets

• Competent levels of Microsoft Office and IT systems skills

• Organised with good attention to detail
