About the role:
As our Finance Assistant, you will perform reconciliations on our high-profile Vitality partners, including Waitrose and Peloton. You will ensure accurate Commission Invoices to partners are raised and settled in a timely manner, carry out cashback calculations due to our members, prepare monthly accrual journals, and complete the appropriate balance sheet reconciliations.
Your responsibilities as our Finance Assistant will include:
Reconciling and preparing the month-end financials for high-profile partners on the Vitality Rewards Programme, including cashback rewards for Waitrose and Peloton
Taking responsibility for the accruals and prepayments, and for the appropriate balance sheet reconciliations
Creating commission invoices for Waitrose and Peloton to ensure these are settled by Partner
Processing and recording all incoming partner invoices in an accurate and timely manner
Reviewing, and approving or rejecting monthly manual refund requests for delayed member Vitality activity points earned
During busy periods, assisting the team with other partners, so deadlines are met
Establishing and maintaining internal controls, including updating process and procedure notes where appropriate
Assisting with monitoring the team mailboxes, helping to ensure that all queries are responded to within the agreed SLA
What we’re looking for in our Finance Assistant:
Essential
Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
Experienced in the use of Microsoft Excel
Comfortable managing multiple priorities to strict deadlines
Flexible in working approach, and able to work in a team environment
Desirable
Working towards, or having achieved a qualification in a recognised accountancy institution (for example AAT)
