Job Description
Job Title: Mortgage Advisor

Location: Manchester. In the office full time during the first 5 weeks. Based in the office 2 days a week thereafter.

Salary: On Application

Working Hours: Monday to Friday – 9am-5.30pm

Our client is a rapidly growing Specialist Mortgage Lender who are expanding their Retail Lending Department, within Second Change Mortgages! Due to this expansion, they are looking for a Mortgage Advisor to join their team.

As a Mortgage Advisor, you will provide advice to customers in line with regulatory and company requirements when dealing direct with customers applying for a second charge mortgage and manage applications through the whole life cycle of the second charge mortgage process from lead stage to completion.

Responsibilities for the role of Mortgage Advisor

Interaction with both internal and external customers to discuss application requirements and progress through the customer journey sharing detailed information to support a positive customer experience
To provide appropriate and suitable advice to customers in line with regulatory and company requirements
To conduct all forms of customer contact in a professional manner, acting with integrity at all times, ensuring that good customer outcomes are achieved.
Proactively look for and suggest areas of improvement to enhance the delivery of a good customer journey and improve Department performance
Ensure all processing is made within regulatory standards, aligned with business needs and deliver to the lending risk strategy
Adherence to and promotion of a culture of TCF with the Company
Ensure all policies and procedures are adhered to
Ensure excellent customer service
Meet agreed SLAs for processing mortgage applications through proactive management of pipeline
Achieve all agreed quality metrics and standards
Manage allocated case pipeline effectively, whilst working as an effective member of the team

Previous experience of regulated advice in mortgages is essential
Experience of advising on second charge mortgages is highly desirable
Strong knowledge and understanding of MCOB regulations in respect of mortgage advice
Ability to work both on own initiative and as part of a team.
Excellent communication skills, act with integrity and in a professional manner.
Dependable and reliable team player with a positive outlook
Minimum 5 GCSE and 2 A Levels
