Job Description
Role: Management Accountant

Salary: £55,000 per annum eligible for discretionary annual bonus

Hybrid working model

Location: London

Leading technology provider, trusted by lenders and brokers around the UK, is seeking Management Accountant to join their growing team, who have seen considerable growth within the past few years.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee transactional processing (AR, AP, and bank reconciliation) performed by the Accounts Administrator
Own the month-end close process ensuring accruals, prepayments, and other journals are posted correctly
Perform month-on-month trend reviews and investigate any anomalies
Manage key balance sheet accounts ensuring they are reconciled monthly
Assist with preparation of the monthly management accounts including variance analysis with budget and forecasts.
Produce analysis on aged debt and aged WIP weekly for reporting to delivery teams and wider finance. Proactively resolve issues where cash collection/invoicing is late.
Manage and forecast cash flows
Support production of annual statutory accounts and tax packs and liaise with external auditors.
Perform ad-hoc analysis to support the business with decision making
Support the maintenance of strong financial controls and documentation
Support system and process enhancements
Coach, mentor, and manage junior team members
The person:

The ideal candidate will either be qualified or newly qualified (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with previous experience as a Management Accountant as well as experience running annual audits. You will be reporting directly to the Financial Controller and have two Accounts Administrators who will report into you, so previous direct report experience is preferable.

You will be:

Part qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
Strong working knowledge of all accounting processes
Experience using Xero or Dynamics365
Experience using Power BI
Previous line management experience
A collaborative, can-do attitude, and flexible approach
Effective communicator, clear written and verbal communication
Self-starter, intellectually curious, and proactive
Calm, organised, and able to deliver quality under pressure and appetite to work in a fast-paced environment
Analytical, demonstrates the ability to break down problems and make recommendations
Strong Excel skills
High level of attention to detail and diligence
