Saj Akbar is proud to present an exciting opportunity for an Interim Finance Manager to join a ground breaking business entering an exciting phase in their growth plan. The role is initially offered on a part time basis and will evolve as the needs of the business change.

Having secured investment to continue their growth journey a new opportunity exists for a finance professional to join the team and be part of something truly pioneering.
As a key member of the management team, you will be responsible for delivering the operational financial management of the business, improving efficiencies and ensuring that robust and fully compliant financial systems, controls and processes are in situ.
As the Interim Finance Manager your duties will be broad and varied and will include (not limited to)
* Design and implement robust financial controls and processes
* Producing monthly consolidated management accounts
* Preparing and managing budgets and forecasts
* Regular engagement with key stakeholders monitoring actuals
* Preparing R&D claims and grant applications
* Developing and managing the relationships between financial and legal partners
* Support the board in financial reporting and analysis of special projects
Suitable applicants will
* Ideally be of graduate of graduate calibre with a professional accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, ACMA or equivalent)
* Be experienced in working for a growing SME business (ideally PE or VC backed)
* Be a strong technical accountant with demonstrable experience of financial reporting to IFRS
* Able to demonstrate working autonomously with little supervision
* Possess advanced excel (enable macros) and financial analysis skills
* Be familiar with financial modelling
* Ideally Xero experience

The role is initially a six month contract with remote working….all we ask that you can attend a you can be based anywhere; all we ask is that you are able to attend meetings at HQ when required.
