Twickenham
Shift pattern – Mondays – Saturdays
£35,000
An established Insurance broker based in Twickenham are looking for an experienced Insurance Underwriter to join their team!
As an Insurance Underwriter, you will join the team in the Motor Insurance department and be the first point of contact for the sales floor for underwriting queries.
In the role you will be responsible for in house referrals from the sales team, work closely with Operations in relation to Compliance matters and present the company in a professional and confident manner.
Insurance Underwriter responsibilities:
Providing support in responding to email referrals & managing internal and external queries.
Maintaining the correct administration & filing for the Insurer & product files.
Assisting in the generation of scheme performance data using company systems.
Keeping up to date with the company's products and relevant external events that could affect underwriting decisions.
Making confident decisions in line with business rules and processes.
Understanding underwriting performance and have experience of monitoring insurer loss ratios.Insurance Underwriter specification:
Previous experience in a similar role.
Previous motor Insurance underwriting experience beneficial.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Able to produce consistently high-quality information within tight deadlines.
Professional, friendly, and upbeat personality – a real team spirit attitude.
