Job Description
Finance Manager – Louth (hybrid one day in office) – £45k-£50k & enhanced pension & flexible working

Working for a group organisation, as Finance Manager you will oversee the provision of financial and management accounts and attend board meetings, prepare and present financials, oversee and manage grant applications, carry out the role of company secretary and contribute to the daily operation and wider success of the company. The role will be hands on, you will develop a small team of people, and you will need to be able to present at Board level.

The Role of Finance Manager

* Oversee the correct input and data entry of weekly supplier returns/account sales

* Management accounts

* Company secretarial duties

* Grant applications

* Review credit control on a regular basis

* Review sales ledger on a regular basis and ensure debts are collected in a timely manner

* Oversee bank reconciliations

* Ensure VAT returns are completed accurately and on time

* Cover all activity associated with account sales in the event of holidays/sickness

* Respond to requests for information in a timely and professional manner

* Handle telephone, email, and postal enquiries from client accounts in a timely and professional manner

* Ensure end of season analysis/reconciliations are carried out

* Preparing end of year data and submission to accountants

* Attend board meetings to present financials

* Support and contribute to the wider development and growth of the company

* Submit accurate applications for EU promotional campaign funds whilst adhering to set deadlines

* Provide accurate financial analysis of client data as instructed

* Assisting the team on working with the Sage Line 50 Accounts Package to include purchase, sales, and nominal Ledgers

* Assisting the team on reconciling bank accounts, VAT returns, calculations of prepayments and accruals

* Handling all external and internal enquiries in a professional and timely manner

The ideal candidate for the role of Finance Manager

Essential

* GCSE English and Maths or equivalent

* Up to date relevant accounting qualifications either through provable experience or training

* A good understanding of financial practices/principles

Desirable

* AAT Level 4 and/or CIMA/ACCA/ACA qualified or QBE
