Finance Manager
Salary: Up to £60,000 per annum
Location: Leeds
Hours: Monday to Friday 8:30am – 17:00pm

As the Finance Manager you will be responsible for:
Building partnerships and maintaining strong relationships with organisational leaders to drive growth and enable the achievement of the organizations strategic financial goals both short and long-term.
Establishing and enabling proper and effective organizational processes, procedures, controls, and records for of all aspects of financial transactions, events, and situations.
This position is spent 25 % working with the Finance Director reporting on corporate finances and project accounting & 75% working with the on-site accounting team to ensure all project accounting is captured for open book account reporting to the client, and that periodic close processes for corporate finances and the project's financial transactions are completed accurately and timely.
Client Reporting / Reconciliation
Reviews the open book accounting records.
Manages the programme's financial records.
Performs operational activities to close the books on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis as well as recording, tracking, and depreciation of fixed assets.
Work with client to review and resolve open issues.
Manager Functions
Manage and oversee the daily operations of the on-site financial accounting team.
Supervises Individual Contributor team of 2-3 FTEs.
Facilitates development, coaches, mentors, interviews and resolves conflicts and conducts performance evaluations.
Corporate Financial Planning & Analysis
Provide input to the Finance Director for the yearly budget, quarterly forecast and bi-weekly estimates for the upcoming quarter and year.
Assists Finance Director with building and maintaining the preparation of financial reporting, budget, forecast/plan.
Assists Finance Director with the preparation of variance analysis & explanations on the material budget/forecast changes for complex operating units/contracts.
Update and track operating indicators and financial metrics.
As the Finance Manager the following will be required:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
A valid qualification from one of the following: Associate Chartered Accountant (ACA), Associate Chartered Certified Accountant (ACCA); or Chartered Institute of Management Accountant (CIMA)
Strong leadership skills to lead / mentor an accounting operations team
Proven experience supporting VP-level and C-suite business partners,
5+ years of relevant FP&A and/or Accounting experience
Strong understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and US GAAP
Experience with financial systems a plus
Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify and resolve data issues/needs quickly
Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to communicate information across teams; comfortable presenting to executive
