Job Description
Finance Manager
Location – Blackpool
Salary – £50,000
Simpson Judge are working with a growing law firm based in Blackpool, in their search for a Finance Manager, in this newly created role.
Reporting to the Finance Director and joining a growing finance department, you will support the FC & FD in a variety of areas, whilst also preparing month end reports.
Responsibilities include:
* Providing support to the Financial Controller in running the day-to-day operations and processes of the department.
* Helping to supervise the Assistant Accountants and the various sub functions of the department.
* Dealing with mid-level and high-level queries that come into the department from the Leadership Team, fee earners and clients.
* Assisting with month end processes, including preparation of subsidiary management accounts, paying Partners, reconciling payment made and postings on the system.
* Preparation of reconciliations, reports, and ad hoc information as reasonably requested.
* Undertake any further work, tasks or projects as reasonably requested by the Finance Director or Financial Controller.
Skills/Qualifications:
* CIMA, ACCA or ACA qualified accountant (QBE/PQ also considered with good experience)
* Previous experience within a law firm or similar professional services environment
* Strong communication skills
