Job Description
Venian are assisting our client in sourcing a Financial Controller with CIMA Qualification on a perm Basis
Venian are looking for an experienced Financial Controller who has proven skills in the following areas.
* The duties and responsibilities are to:
* General company secretarial work
* Prepare monthly management accounts and reports
* Maintain bank account records
* Daily management records
* Control of account systems – Nominal and Purchase leger
* Credit control
* Monthly payroll
* HMRC payroll
* VAT returns
* Government statistical returns
* Supervision of accounts computer systems
* Personnel work and maintain records
* Supervision of accounts department
* Administer staff and directors pension funds
* Maintain insurance records
* Arrange and maintain purchase records
* Attend Board meetings and take minutes
* Experience in contracting (construction based)
You will have a keen eye for details and be able to work well within a team. Experience within a builders merchant/ building trade would be advantageous but not essential.
Also knowledge of Construction based accounts is desirable.
In house training will be given on the internal accounts package.
Along with the above you will be able to deal with most office tasks, along with training apprentices.
If you have a desire to progress up to Financial Director then this could be the role for you.
Hours of work are Monday to Friday 8.30am – 5pm with an hour for Lunch.
