Job Description
LHH Recruitment Solutions are working alongside an internationally well-known financial services business, who are based in the heart of Newcastle City Centre (2 Days in the office required each week). My client is seeking a self-motivated finance professional to join as a Commercial Finance Manager, where you will work with autonomy and play a key role in supporting a variety of different service lines and projects in improving margin, processes and overall profitability.
This role would suit someone whom has had business partnering experience, as you will be working alongside different service line managers and other internal senior colleagues to break down financial data, provide analysis/commentary to improve margin, performance, profitability, efficiency, and streamline overall processes.
Skills/Experience required:
Preference for minimum three years' experience in a commercial and/or financial role
Strong financial acumen with a proven ability to influence stakeholders
Excellent stakeholder management skills and ability to challenge mind sets and status quo
A recognised global accounting qualification (Open to QBE or Part qual with clear hands on experience)Key Accountability's
Provides business insight to related to: margin, revenue recognition and inventory performance
Works closely with internal colleagues to shape solutions and/or drive ad-hoc projects
Foster positive and collaborative relationships to agree priorities and shaping of strategies that will improve margin performance
Shapes new solutions, implement best practices and processes to optimise financial performance
Stay up to date with the firm's latest policies, processes and tools and proposes recommendations where there is a need
Analyse and consume significant levels of data to form and communicate a clear view of margin performance, both historic and forward looking
Provide financial modelling and advice to support pricing decisions
Assess complex financial performance data at either an engagement or portfolio level and help to pinpoint root causes with outcomes
Ability to look at issues from a client server perspective, understanding the commercial pressures they face
Presents and communicates clearly, concisely and persuasively through both verbal and presentation skills
Develop and lead the implementation of an initiative
Desire to share knowledge and enhance the skills of less experienced team members
