Job Description
Exciting opportunity within an Accountancy Practice for a Bookkeeper based in the Bury area. This full time, permanent role is well suited to a Bookkeeper with at least 3 years' experience within a similar role. This role also provides great opportunities for career progression.

The Bookkeeper will be confident in dealing with purchase ledger and sales ledger processing, taking accounts to trial balance, monthly VAT returns and managing their own portfolio of clients. A full driving licence and own vehicle is also required for this role to visit clients to assist with the bookkeeping function.

Bookkeeper Position Overview

Purchase ledger and sales ledger processing

Bank reconciliations,

Accounts to trial balance

Monthly VAT returns meeting HMRC deadlines

Managing own portfolio of clients

Visiting clients as and when required to assist with bookkeeping function (own car required)

Special one-off assignments for clients, i.e. training, problems and providing cover for emergencies.

Bookkeeper Position Requirements

Bookkeeping experience (3+ years preferred)

Xero and Sage 50 experience preferred but not essential

DEXT or similar experience

Excellent communication skills

Fully competent on excel and outlook

Highly organised and ability to prioritise own workload

A team player

Full driving licence and own vehicle

A degree of flexibility in hours worked to allow for travel to/from clients as and when required

Bookkeeper Position Remuneration

Salary up to £25,000 depending on experience

25 days holiday plus Bank Holidays
