Job Description
Sue Ross Recruitment are working with a leading, international media company based in Chesterfield. Due to internal promotion, they are recruitingn for a Assistant Management Accountant to join their dynamic team.
The purpose of the role is:
* To assist with the delivery of the monthly management accounts.
* To assist with the preparation of financial analysis, with the key focus being revenue and gross margin figures by customer.
* To assist with the quarterly licensing returns.
* Provide insight, and analysis, to external customers and other departments
Key responsibilities include
* Timely and accurate processing of cost invoices.
* Assisting with preparation of management accounts and month end schedules.
* Assisting with the monthly stock reporting, including preparation of journals.
* Co-ordination of the warehouse and engineer stock counts, and the subsequent reconciliation of completed counts.
* Investigation of gross margin variances on installation and service sales invoices.
* Assisting with preparation and submission of licensing returns.
* Assisting with preparation of the Group VAT return for submission.
* Assisting in the preparation of EC Sales returns for submission.
* Preparation of year end audit file schedules.
* Ensuring all site maintenance issues are recorded, and implemented, in an efficient and timely manner.
* Inputting of time sheets on a weekly basis to ensure correct payroll and margin reporting.
* Provide support and cover to peers, as required.
* Demonstrating a high-level standard for the business interaction with our customers and both face to face and in other forms of communication.
* Aiming for a high level of financial understanding to ensure that seen as experts in the service area provided.
Applicants will need to have circa 3 years’ experience in a finance role. You will ideally be fully AAT qualified and looking to study CIMA or ACCA (however we will consider candidates who are qualified by experience).
