Job Description
Accounts Receivable Analyst

Telford

Permanent

Up to £22,000

Monday – Friday – 40 hours per week

Prince Personnel are working with a successful business based in Telford to recruit for an Accounts Receivable Analyst on a permanent basis. The Accounts Receivable Analyst will work with colleagues across the business and with customers to ensure all Credit control & AR activities/requirements are executed and adhered to following relevant country regulatory bodies. The purpose of this role is to promote a proactive approach to AR, through consistent and accurate Credit Control processes.

Responsibilities and duties will include:

* Proactively contact customers to agree on open balances and address any missing items

* Chase overdue invoices by telephone, email & letter within agreed timescales

* Enforce contractual terms and conditions for receivable balances

* Maintain accurate records of all chasing activity, including any escalation actions

* Identify changes in payment patterns and propose action to mitigate any potential risk

* Review disputed bills to establish the validity of a claim. Where valid, progress with the appropriate contacts to resolve and enable the release of payment

* Where payment is withheld with no valid reason, progress and follow the escalation process to ensure all concerned parties are apprised of the issue and support as required

* Respond promptly and completely to both client and internal AR queries

* Meet cash & debtor day targets set by the department

* Propose to write off irrecoverable receivables, ensuring comprehensive supporting detail

* Ad-hoc reporting

* Undertake account reconciliations as required

* Ensure month-end activities’ deadlines are met as required

* Send out monthly client statements/letters as may be agreed from time to time.

Skills and Experience

The company are willing to consider experienced candidates as well as people looking to get into a finance type role. Strong MS Excel skills are needed for this role. You will need to have excellent written and verbal communication skills and good negotiation skills too.
