Accounts Payable Assistant Job in Camberley, Surrey

Job Description
As Purchase Ledger Assistant you will assist and support the Accounts Payable Manager to ensure the accuracy and efficiency of the Purchase Ledger function. You will ensure that all invoices are processed, paid and reconciled in a timely manner.

You will be involved in processing 200 circa invoices per month. Key supplier uploads circa 2000 per month. 200 Domino's Stores. Be part of a Finance Team of 20 and a Ledger Team of 4.

You will be measured by ensuring that suppliers are paid by due date, all invoices processed, accuracy of processing, meeting month end deadlines, queries closed in a timely manner, effectively monitor and communicate WAP (internal system) status to all Stakeholders.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

– Accurate and timely processing of CSV uploads and invoices, reconciling delivery note to invoices received and purchase orders

– Month end reconciliation of all key suppliers

– Month end reconciliation of month end inter company balances

– Set up new supplier accounts and maintain existing account details within Purchase Ledger

– Assist in the preparation of purchase summaries

– Weekly and Monthly BACS payments

– Chasing debit balances

-Chasing and monitoring outstanding invoices

– Monitoring Direct Debit suppliers and ensuring timely receipt of invoices

– The close down of ledger to deadline

– Sales and Profit

– Monthly reconciliation of supplier statement and

resolution of supplier queries

Skills, Experience and Attributes required:

– Book keeping experience

– Great interpersonal and communication skills

– Self-discipline

– Good Team working skills

– Ability to work to monthly deadlines

– An aptitude for IT

– Attention to detail

– Planning and organisational skills

– Experience in a similar role in a fast paced environment

– Knowledge of Software packages e.g., Excel, Sage and BACS

-Sales and Profit

– Monthly reconciliation of supplier statements and resolution of supplier queries
