Job Description
Job Title: Lending Director
Reports to MD and Senior Team
Salary: Up to £120,000 + Commission + Benefits

Our client is a boutique Debt Advisory Firm based in Mayfair and in Cardiff. They are one of the UK’s longest established Commercial Finance Advisory Firms having been trading since 1997. They arrange Finance exclusively in the Property Sector covering all Asset classes from Residential to Mixed-use, Commercial, Logistics, Hotels, Retail, Offices etc
Our client Loan sizes range from £100,000 all the way to over £100m and much of their London-focussed work is regularly £20m+
The Loans are for the Development, Investment, Purchase and Refinance of Properties and vary from 1month Bridging Loans to 30year Term Loans.
This is a rare opportunity for an ambitious individual to join an industry leader as it enters a growth phase. Our client is looking for an experienced Loan Underwriter who understands the Lending Market and who will work closely with the Founder and the Senior Team to assist in the presentation of Proposals to Lenders as well as pushing the Loans to Completion.

Responsibilities:
Work with the Founder as Lending Director in London, as well as the Senior Case Manager in Cardiff assisting with the:

Summary of the Client’s requirements in a structured format prior to their presentation to Lenders
*
Background research that could add weight to the Client’s case
*
Negotiation with Lenders and the placing of the deal with most appropriate Lender available to the Client
*
Tracking the Loan opportunities prior to the Client proceeding
*
Working with the chosen Lender to ensure the swiftest possible Completion
*
Arranging Valuations, Professional Reports etc as may be required in each case
*
Working with the Solicitors of both Lender and Borrower to ensure all parties are always fully up to speed
*
Ensuring all follow-ups are met and future points diarised
*
Ensure all data in the Company’s CRM system is always fully UpToDate including summarising events and transposing emails etc
Job requirements
*
At least 5 years’ experience within either a Lender or Bank, a Developer, or another Advisory Firm
*
Experience working in high growth / scale up environments. We are an established business but still think and act with the agility and passion of a start-up
*
Solutions oriented with a proven track record in exceeding revenue goals
*
Self-motivation and drive to make things happen – this is a role within the organisation that requires an individual to have the energy and ambition to hit the ground running
*
Strong interpersonal skills, collaborative, demonstrates initiative and follow through
*
Ability to comfortably present, engage and influence at a senior level
*
Goal oriented in the sense of contributing strongly to the overall Company’s performance by ensuring all Loans are delivered as swiftly as possible

Excellent written and verbal communication skills
*
A positive attitude and high EQ to optimise long term client relationships

Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma
*
Fluency in English and strong numeracy

You will work in the Mayfair Office located in central London
*
You will report to the company founders and owners (located in London) as well as the Senior Case Manager located in Cardiff.

Occasional travel around the UK visiting Clients, the Cardiff Office and for Industry Events
