Job Description
Role: Senior Financial Accountant for a Charity.

Location: London. Hybrid working possible

Salary: £48,183 per annum.

Contract type: Permanent

Hours: Full Time, 37.5 hours per week

The client is a charity offering services and support for victims of domestic abuse.

Key Accountabilities

Responsible for processing of annual financial statements and other statutory returns; coordinating the completion of the year end process. Main point of contact with auditors
Leading the Treasury function ensuring compliant and good cash management and forecasting
VAT management including processing and filing.
Managing payroll administration and monthly processing ; working closely with the Business Support team
Support with the production of additional financial reporting as required by senior leadership
Co-ordinating/reviewing cash report and maintain efficient working capital balances in UK bank accounts
Supporting the Head of Finance in maintaining relevant and effective finance policy and processes
Coaching and supporting the finance team to develop, ensuring high standards of performance, a customer focused approach, positive response to change and a collaborative, approach
Leading the team to maintain an accurate recording up to Trail Balance ensuring the team complete regular reconciliation and review, strong controls over processes and follow up on any risks identified Knowledge, Experience, Skills and Personal Qualities

Significant experience of finance business accounting in a charity, or the public sector or similar, and interface between non-executives and executives in a complex organisation.
Knowledge and up to date understanding of corporate and financial trends, regulation and best practice.
Experience of working at a senior level advising senior managers and Board members on budgeting matters and explaining financial information
A relevant degree or professional qualification (ACCA, ACA, CIMA) or demonstrable equivalent experience
