LHR are proud to be partnered with an expanding international distributor in Blackburn who are looking for a Purchase Ledger Finance Assistant to join their team. Our client is currently going through an exciting period of growth, and this is a great time to become part of their journey!

The Purchase Ledger Finance Assistant is starting as a temporary role with the view to make it permanent for the right person. This is a good opportunity for the right candidate to learn and grow in the role and the department.

Key Duties of the Purchase Ledger Finance Assistant:

* Posting Invoices & Matching invoices to Purchase Order numbers via a 3-way match

* Bank postings

* Credit card payments

* Process supplier invoices, ensuring that all supplier invoices are paid as per our internal processes and procedures.

* Create payment runs in accordance with the invoice due date & company payment terms

* Bank Reconciliations

* Supplier Reconciliations

The Successful Purchase Ledger Finance Assistant:

* Finance experience ideally in Accounts payable

* Purchase ledger and bookkeeping knowledge

* Numerate and accurate

* Good communication skills

* Methodical and organised with the ability to work to deadlines

* Level 2 AAT or equivalent experience (would be an advantage)

* High Attention to detail

* Microsoft Office skills including competence in Excel

* Great telephone manner and able to communicate well

* Versatile, adaptable, and willing to learn
