Job Description
Our clients are looking for a Mergers and Acquisitions analyst to join their team who is based across the UK. It will be a multifaceted role offering exposure to different workstreams, departments and challenges and an opportunity to be part of our clients' exciting growth journey, with a number of live acquisitions and a strong future pipeline.

This is a home-based position.

Key Accountabilities of the Mergers and Acquisitions analyst will be:

Directly support the M&A Manager and work closely with the senior management team, including the CEO, CFO and COO to deliver on our clients' M&A strategy and growth ambitions

Supporting the FP&A (financial planning and analysis) team on key strategic projects

Assist in target assessment & screening, bid preparation, valuation, and synergy analysis

Supporting the due-diligence process, including coordination between internal teams and external advisers

Preparation of Board papers, investment committee memos and other relevant documents

Manage relationships with brokers and other external agents

Carrying out market assessments to keep track of investment opportunities and maintain transaction databases

Work on internal projects on an ad hoc basis, as needed

To be considered for this Mergers and Acquisitions analyst role, you must have the following:

Background in investment banking, transaction services, corporate finance, or FP&A

Knowledge of the financial services sector will be beneficial, but not essential

Ability and willingness to learn and to be able to work outside of your comfort zone

Ability to multitask, manage different stakeholders and work on multiple projects simultaneously

Financial modelling, forecasting & data analysis skills

Strong communication skills and proficiency in excel, word and PowerPoint 

Working hours for the Mergers and Acquisitions analyst will be:

8:45 am – 5:15 pm Monday to Friday

Salary of up to £50,000 dependent on experience
