Job Description
Brook Street Recruitment is working on behalf of our financial services client to recruit a Part Time Financial Services General Manager to join their team.

Job Purpose

To lead company adviser and client servicing and para planning teams through transition and change as they deliver strategies and plans that will fulfil company overall objectives of increasing company sales, revenues, profitability levels and ultimately the growth of the company`s commercial value.
To ensure that the right systems, processes, and structures are in place, and that the right people are employed, developed, and suitably motivated
To develop the collective and individual competencies of the individuals and teams via the company performance management and traction processes
Improve efficiency's in client management and practice processes to improve practice profitability.
In conjunction with the Quality Assurance Manager oversee and manage all compliance and business quality issues ensuring that the company is operating to the highest possible standards and getting it right first time
To set an example to others in the business in terms of demonstrating behaviours that are in line with the stated company values and the VTO change management process
Attend Traction meetings as defined as a member of the leadership team
Criteria

Commercially astute, articulate, technically strong, dynamic, insightful, and influential leader with the ability to operate at both strategic and operational levels.
Minimum Diploma level qualified – this is essential
Sound overall knowledge of the financial services market including:
o Core products/tax wrappers
o UK taxation regime
o Principals of fund management
Strong complex and strategic thinking skills
Strong background in client and product administration
Strong communication skills
Good knowledge and experience of the advice process and regulatory requirements
Ability to understand and identify issues and resolve disputes in an effective manner including the ability to manage client expectations and internal stakeholders
An over-arching view of internal processes and working practices.
Working knowledge of Investment platforms, their operation, and processes.
Excellent personal organisation
Team player
Strong Leadership experience
The FTE salary is in the range £50-£55k and the hours could be negotiable between 15-30 hours per week

The role would ideally suit someone with a wealth of experience in Financial Services, someone with a lot still to contribute but who is happy to work less hours in the week as they perhaps phase into retirement or have other commitments.
