Job Description
Project Accountant (18 month FTC)

Location – Manchester city centre
Salary – Up to £50,000

Simpson Judge are working with a well-established and growing business, with offices based in Manchester city centre, who have an opportunity for a qualified Project Accountant in a broad, interesting role. This role is initially an 18 month FTC, with potential of becoming permanent in the future.

Responsibilities include:
* Prepare statutory accounts and a supporting year-end audit file
* Prepare quarterly management accounts
* Prepare written commentary and variance analysis as required
* Manage cash flows between accounts and review bank reconciliations
* Prepare / approve VAT reconciliations and prepare and submit VAT returns
* Update project operating models quarterly for actual results and cash flows
* Prepare an operating model for annual budgeting
* Assist in effective and compliant treasury and working capital management
* Assist with the financial aspects of any project variations in conjunction with the project's site team and Finance Manager
* Provide support and assist in the development of junior team members where necessary
* The Project Accountant may be assisted by an Accounts Assistant and may be required to supervise their work

Skills/Qualifications:

* ACCA or ACA Qualified Accountant
* Previous management accounts experience
* Background/experience working within a small accountancy practice a bonus (but not required)
