Job Description
NXTGEN are pleased to be working with a very well-known organisation based south of Norwich, who seek a part time payroll & finance officer. In this part time position, you will play a key role in supporting the finance team and you will be tasked with providing accurate and up to date payroll information, along with performing day to day finance duties such as invoice coding and reconciliantion, cash handling and other finance related tasks. The main duties as payroll & finance officer will include:

Being responsible for the monthly bank payroll
Checking and inputting starters and leavers
Cash posting and checking cheque batches
Filing and issuing petty cash
Supplier payment runs
Processing invoices
Maintain records for sickness and both new starters and leavers
Various ad-hoc payroll and PL related admin tasks

The ideal candidate will have worked within a busy finance environment in a similar payroll position, having done tasks such as day-to-day cash office processes, purchase ledger elements and general admin support. Our client would like to bring in somebody who can hit the ground running, so being comfortable using various IT systems is a must, especially Excel. You will need a full, clean drivers license to be able to operate in this role effectively. The business pride themselves on great customer service, so will be looking for a confident and approachable character to join the company.
