Payroll & Finance Administrator

Based at Haydock – Full time, permanent opportunity.

Who are MPAAS?

MPAAS are an accredited Meter Operator and Meter Asset Manager which means that not only do we own the smart meter asset, but we can fit the smart meter on behalf of your energy supplier. This makes us the face of the energy supplier; the ones who visit your home or business and our qualified Dual Fuel Meter Installers undertake the installation.

In addition to this we also undertake revenue protection work for our energy suppliers. That’s why we pride ourselves in delivering first class customer service to all of our consumers. From the point of booking through to installation our personalised consumer journey keeps everyone informed every step of the way.

Summary of the role

As we continue to grow our customer base, our business partners and the services we can offer we now require an experienced Payroll & Finance Administrator to join our growing team from our head office in Haydock.

This role will initially be focussed on Payroll, however in the future you will also be given opportunities to broaden your skill set within a wider finance role. This will involve; creating a new profit and loss system for the business, working on behalf of a group of companies, implementing new finance systems and growing your own finance team.

This role is new and stand alone, which means you will have the opportunity to create your own space within the business and utilise all of your expertise; this does mean that at times it will be challenging, at times you will need to ‘roll your sleeves up’ to get your role off the ground, undertaking the sometimes wide variety of tasks that the business needs.

Your overarching key responsibilities

* Collecting daily, weekly or monthly payroll data

* Calculating bonuses and allowances

* Liaising with the group finance team based in Colchester.

* Collating and calculating weekly and monthly expenses

* Preparing employee's compensation by the end of each month using Payroll software

* Distribute payment statements and gather signed receipts

* Report on Payroll expenses

* Ensure wages and tax withholdings comply with regulations

* Daily Payroll adhoc tasks

Where you will fit in the Company

Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer of Mpass and you will have regular communication and sometimes direction from the wider business – we are part of the Pozitive Energy Group

What we are ideally looking for in you

* Previous experience working in a Payroll environment

* Detailed knowledge of Payroll procedures, processes & legislation

* Detailed knowledge of Computerised Payroll System

* Strong administrative background

* Accuracy & Attention to detail

The Salary & Terms applicable for this role

* £23,000 – £25,000

* 20 days holiday plus bank holidays (Increasing a day for each year worked at MPASS)

* 37.5 hours per week, Monday-Friday – flexible between 8am to 6pm

* Relaxed, dress down working environment

* There is free, on-site parking available at the Haydock Office
