Job Description
Trevor James are looking for a part-time accountant to join a well-established Construction Systems Company in Birmingham. The role involves working closely with another member of staff to ensure the accurate and timely competition of accounts activities. The company has been trading for over 25 years, and prides itself on performance, quality, and service. The position has become available due to the retirement of a long-term member of staff, and would ideally begin in September.
Key Details:
£10 – £15 per hour
Part-Time hours – 3 days per week preferred
Opportunity to increase hours to cover sickness and holiday
Close-knit, family feel
Own responsibilities, not just assisting accountant
Duties include:
Processing purchase and sales invoices
Some payroll
Assisting with accounts related queries
Expenses and Petty Cash
Accounts related administration
The ideal candidate has:
Well-rounded accounts experience
Experience working within the construction industry in a finance role (preferred but not essential)
Knowledge of Sage and/or Construction Manager
Excellent organisational and attention to detail skills
