Job Description
Pertemps are working with a key client within Glasgow City Centre who are looking for a Purchase Ledger assistant. This role will be covering long term sickness on a temporary basis and has the scope to become permanent. Within this position you will work fully in office with full time hours Monday to Friday. The ideal candidate will have previous finance experience within a Purchase Ledger role or similar. The hourly rate for this role is £12 per hour paid on a weekly basis.
Key Responsibilities:
Match, batch, code and process invoices
Monthly Credit Card expense posting
Rent, Rates and Utility expenditure
Run check weekly creditor reports
Reconcile invoices and deal with queries/discrepancies for suppliers
To assist with the administration of Purchase Orders
Weekly review and resolution of invoices held for query
Ensuring that all accounts are reconciled with statements promptly and before month end closedown
Setting up of supplier payment runs and provide remittances advice
Ensuring all capital costs are through ledgers on Monthly basis
Preparing Intercompany transactions through all ledgersSkills & Experience:
The ideal candidate will have at previous experience within a Purchase Ledger capacity
Be organised and self-motivated
Possess excellent numeracy and communication skills
A team player
Good Microsoft Office knowledge and/or accountancy working systems experience
Enjoys prioritising multiple tasks and duties efficiently
Comfortable performing both data input and higher-level reporting
