Job Description
Mortgage Administrator required. Ideally minimum of 6-12 months plus experience. Full-time or part-time considered. We also offer flexible, hybrid/homeworking options. Based in Oadby.

You will be joining a firm where you will be allowed to progress your career, learn new skills and, within time, take on additional responsibility.

As a mortgage administrator you will play a pivotal role in our company and handle the full cycle of mortgage and protection administration from meeting preparation to completion. It's a role that requires excellent communication and relationship building skills as there is regular liaison with our advisers, clients, other team members, solicitors and mortgage lenders.

The critical elements of the role will cover:

Pre and post meeting preparation

* Meeting preparation, processing business, updating systems, drafting reports, ensuring application forms are completed and liaising with clients.

Ongoing administration

* File maintenance, diary tracking, producing illustrations, data gathering, liaising with lenders and solicitors, managing the business's current pipeline, and dealing with correspondence.

Relationship Management

* Attending meetings, client reviews, meeting clients and proactively managing the client relationship to ensure their complete satisfaction.

Team Membership

* Supporting colleagues, helping out with other job functions, mentoring, sharing feedback and working towards a common team goal.

Additional Information

The role is likely to be office based during your probation period whilst you are learning and after that, we are happy to look at hybrid part office and part home based working arrangements. We are happy to consider full-time or part-time and flexible working.

Essential Skills

* A minimum of 6-12 months plus mortgage administration experience.

* A self-starter with a positive, proactive and helpful attitude.

* The ability and desire to really get stuck in and contribute to a small family firm.

* Good communication skills and the ability to build strong trusting relationships with our clients, help them through the house purchase process and communicate mortgage matters jargon-free.

* Be able to think laterally and juggle multiple tasks at any one time.

* Be able to mentor junior colleagues.
