Job Description
JUNIOR FINANCE ADMINISTRATOR – HYBRID WORKING – £18-20,000 PER ANNUM

Reporting to the Management Accountant, the main purpose of this role is to provide support to the finance team, while gaining invaluable experience in the workings of a fast-paced finance department. In this role, duties will include:

Group Banking

Banking: downloading all statements and reports from the bank on a daily basis and distributing to the finance team.
Bank reconciliations – daily reconciliation to the cashbook and general ledger.
Cash allocations – daily cash posting, reconciliations and distributing to management.
Month end bank reconciliations

Group Accounts Payable

Processing supplier invoices and ensuring supplier authorisation procedures are followed with an appropriate sign off.
Produce and distribute weekly chase report to relevant Directors / Managers to ensure suppliers are paid within their terms
Reconciling supplier statements to purchase ledger.
Maintain accurate and up to date supplier accounts, ensuring compliance checks are complete.
Cashbook postings, post and allocate payments on daily basis.
Assist staff / suppliers with enquiries relating to invoices.

The function of this role is to assist the finance team in ensuring smooth day to day running of the accounts function.

The successful candidate will have;

experience of an office environment
good knowledge of MS office programmes
a logical mind-set, prioritising and working to deadlines
a strong work ethic and time keeping
ability to communicate with customers, suppliers and colleagues of all levels
